ode to jane russell

My heart sank a bit, when I heard the news that the iconic Jane Russell passed on today.

She was by far one of my favorites from that wonderful era.  So beautiful... 

so much grace.  And she seemed to not only be gorgeous, but intelligent as well. 

I wish I could have known her...

I heart film noir

Enjoying a lovely snow day here in Oklahoma..perfect for laying around in PJ's, and watching old movies..our favorite!  Film Noir, in particular.  I just love the beauty of those old films.  The mystery, and shadows..the contrast of black and white.  The syle of the clothes and the glamour.  It inspired me to post some beautiful images from that time, as well as a few things from the shop in black and white.  Really, my two favorite color combinations.
