From trash to treasure
I love finding pieces of jewery and trinkets that have been tossed aside, and finding another way to make them beautiful. Here are a few of my latest finds that I've turned into necklaces. All three will be in the shop this weekend.

Beauty
I'm having ridiculous amounts of fun making jewelry out of these beauties! And I still have quite a bit more to work with. I love it when the creativity flows. Everything will be available in the shop within the month.. I've also been working like a madwomen getting the studio organized and presentable. Spent three hours in the hot Oklahoma heat, painting the walls. It will be done SOON, and all will be well...(sigh)..

a bit of velvet and a dash of lace..
As the snow continues to gently fall..I am finding myself dreaming of comfortably warmer weather. SPRING..when the smell of the air is fresh and clean. And I fantasize about frolicking in the meadow, in my little lace gown, picking daisies in the fields..Haha..I'm such a hippie at heart. Which makes me think of the book I recenly discovered. Robin Brown's "A bit of velvet and a dash of lace". I've fallen head over heels with her style. So beautiful, so romantic..victorian, bohemian heaven.
It's inspired my to post some of her beautiful images..
And in the meantime..I'll keep dreaming of warmer weather, vintage lace, lush velvet and daisies.
Enjoy!
