New sanctuary

Most of the people that know me, know that I love vintage.  I love shopping for it, I love looking at it and wearing it, I love taking pictures of it, and I love putting it in my etsy shop for others to enjoy.  But my OTHER love, is holistic health.  Massage, skincare, yoga, energy work. So in addition to my little vintage shop, I am a massage therapist..esthetician..and reiki practitioner.
I've been in the process of moving and remodeling my new studio (that I am SO proud of) and wanted to show off all of our hard work :)

Love inspired body care recipes

With Valentines Day a couple weeks away..I thought some "love inspired" body care recipes were in order. These recipes are from Mountain Rose Herbs, my favorite organic herb and essential oil distributor. They're so easy to make, and oh SO delicious!

Brown Sugar and Vanilla? Yum!

A sweet smelling body scrub which will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup organic brown sugar
- 1/2 cup organic granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup + 3 TBSP organic Sunflower oil
- 1/4 tsp organic Vanilla flavoring extract
Instructions:
Blend sugars together in a bowl, add oil and vanilla extract, and mix well. Package in jars, and enjoy! Note: the oil in this recipe will make your tub slippery, so use with caution.

Gorgeous Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) Flowers.

A floral, earthen, exotic, and sweet blend which will appeal to women and men alike.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup organic Jojoba oil
- 20 drops organic Lavender essential oil
- 15 drops organic Cedarwood essential oil
- 2 drop organic Ylang Ylang essential oil
Instructions:
Drop all essential oils into a glass bottle, add Jojoba oil, and roll bottle between palms to blend oils. Decorate with a ribbon and pretty label if desired. Shake well before each use.
